Kerisas – Take One For the Road

Magic City Gang’s freshman, Kerisas [real name - Okungbowa Osas Eric], lets us into his world of music, a career path which became a prospect and expectation for him having started out singing from the early age of 12; the Edo/Delta state born and bred bloke who is now 24, has carved out various body of works with the likes of Erigga, Durella, Yung Hanz, M-Factor [Winner, Peak Talent Show Season 3], Frankie Free and DJ Toxiq-A.
Kerisas is one of the few Silver ticket winners from UNIBEN into the Nigeria Idol House Season 3; the fledgling from Magic City Gang is set to release his Frankie Free produced offering, the new single titled “Take One For The Road,” a fine tune which sees him blend verses based on general causes. Word has it that this new single from Kerisas currently has it’s video on the way, as directed by award-winning video director, Paul Gambit.

Last year, notjustOk.com kickstarted a “Top 10″ trend which was eventually nicknamed “The List” by artists, fans, OAPs and Nigerian music listeners in general. The different lists compiled by the notjustOk Team – particularly the “Most Gifted Rappers” list – caused a stir across the industry and it was certainly an exciting period for artists and fans alike. For that reason, we decided to make it a yearly thing.
2014 is about 75% over, and we’ve witnessed the growth of several superstars with hit songs, tours, endorsements and more. This year’s list takes into account the hottest names and hitmakers in Nigerian music from the last quarter of 2013 till date.

Big Sean – Jit/Juke
